Mental retardation is a brain injury is the effect on pregnancy due to environmental factors that originate during or after birth and social relationships have been insufficient to stimulate it. As a reference to this topic, taking Erikson's theory of development, each stage is determined by a conflict that allows individual and independent development. During the case study, psychometric tests such as: Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-IV (WISC-IV) and López Regalado Social Skills Questionnaire were used. Explaining that the patient with mental retardation has a deficit in the development of social skills, limiting the patient in his daily activities. Thus, it could also be confirmed that through the techniques applied through a therapeutic plan based on social skills training, the child significantly improves his behavior. | es_ES |
