| dc.description | Pulmonary fibrosis is a disease of the lower respiratory tract that is characterized by abnormal scarring of lung tissues, due to this abnormality the passage of oxygen to the bloodstream is reduced. The most frequent clinical manifestations of pulmonary fibrosis are: insidious onset, progressive dyspnea, persistent dry cough, rales, hearing loss, chronic respiratory failure, and hypoxemia-hypercapnia. For diagnosis, the patient's medical history and complementary tests are analyzed, and imaging tests such as chest X-rays and computerized axial tomography are performed. The present study in a clinical case in an 88-year-old female patient who came to the emergency area for presenting the following signs and symptoms, dry cough of 8 days of evolution, muscle pain, thermal rise not quantified of 4 days evolution, fatigue, dyspnea on medium efforts and loss of appetite. The purpose of carrying out this clinical case is to establish a correct treatment in the 88-year-old female patient with a diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La fibrosis pulmonar es una enfermedad de las vías respiratorias bajas que se caracteriza por la cicatrización anormal de los tejidos pulmonares, debido a esta anormalidad se reduce el paso del oxígeno al torrente sanguíneo. Las manifestaciones clínicas más frecuentes de la fibrosis pulmonar son: aparición insidiosa, disnea progresiva, tos seca persistente, estertores, hipoacusia, insuficiencia respiratoria crónica e hipoxemia-hipercapnia. Para el diagnóstico, se analizan la historia clínica del paciente y los exámenes complementarios, y se realizan exámenes por imágenes, como radiografías de tórax y tomografía axial computarizada. El presente estudio en un caso clínico en una paciente de sexo femenino de 88 años de edad quien acude al área de emergencia por presentar los siguientes signos y síntomas, tos seca de 8 días de evolución, dolor muscular, alza térmica no cuantificada de 4 días de evolución, cansancio, disnea de medianos esfuerzos y pérdida del apetito. La realización de este caso clínico tiene como finalidad establecer un correcto tratamiento en la paciente de sexo femenino de 88 años de edad con diagnóstico de fibrosis pulmonar. | es_ES |
