dc.descriptionDiabetes occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin, this is the hormone that regulates blood sugar, or in turn when the body does not use it correctly. Hypertension is a prevalent chronic disease, it is also a risk factor for other chronic non-communicable diseases and has the potential to damage the organs of the person who suffers it. The general objective is to design a food plan according to the nutritional needs required by the patient with Type II Diabetes Mellitus and Arterial Hypertension. Observational, cross-sectional and descriptive methods were used to generate the clinical case. Medical and nutritional history and laboratory tests were considered. The present study was carried out in a 67-year-old female patient diagnosed with Type II Diabetes Mellitus and Arterial Hypertension, where poor eating habits are associated with these diseases. So a personalized eating plan is made, which consists of a diet low in sodium, low in fat, high in fiber, divided into 5 daily meals. Finally, the respective follow-up is carried out, obtaining as a result a better nutrition and lifestyle of the patient.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa Diabetes se produce cuando el páncreas no produce suficiente insulina, ésta es la hormona que regula el azúcar en la sangre, o a su vez cuando el cuerpo no la utiliza correctamente. La Hipertensión es una enfermedad crónica prevalente, es también un factor de riesgo de otras enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles y tiene el potencial de dañar los órganos de quién la padece. El objetivo general es diseñar un plan alimenticio acorde a las necesidades nutricionales que requiere el paciente con Diabetes Mellitus tipo II e Hipertensión Arterial. Se utilizaron métodos observacionales, transversales y descriptivos para generar el caso clínico. Se consideraron antecedentes médicos, nutricionales y pruebas de laboratorio. El presente estudio fue realizado en un paciente de sexo femenino de 67 años de edad diagnosticada con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo II e Hipertensión Arterial, donde los malos hábitos alimenticios se encuentran asociados con estas enfermedades. Por lo que se realiza un plan alimenticio personalizado, que consiste en una dieta baja en sodio, baja en grasas, alta en fibra, dividida en 5 comidas diarias. Finalmente se realiza el respectivo seguimiento, obteniendo como resultado una mejor nutrición y estilo de vida del paciente.es_ES
