| dc.description | The present clinical case topic had its origin in the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital with an 88-year-old male patient who was admitted to the Emergency area, referred from the Echeandia health center for presenting a clinical picture characterized by dyspnea, precordial pain Approximately 2 days ago, accompanied by persistent cough with sputum, wheezing, lung sounds, rales and diaphoresis, the patient at the time of evaluation was observed with cachectic facies, low weight, and presented inability to move in the lower limbs. Laboratory studies were carried out, beginning by ruling out a possible case of covid 19, giving a negative result and later, thanks to the anamnesis and clinical history plus an X-ray and the spirometry test, a chronic obstructive disease was given as a definitive diagnosis. A specialized plan of nursing activities was established according to their needs, taking as a guide the Virginia Henderson model and its assessment goal according to the 14 basic needs of the individual to improve well-being and quality of life. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente tema de caso clínico tuvo su origen en el Hospital Alfredo Noboa Montenegro con un paciente de sexo masculino de 88 años de edad que ingresó al área de Emergencias, referido del centro de salud de Echeandia por presentar cuadro clínico caracterizado por disnea, dolor precordial hace 2 días aproximadamente, acompañado de tos persistente con expectoraciones, sibilancias, ruidos pulmonares, estertores y diaforesis, paciente al momento de la valoración se observó con facies caquécticas, bajo peso, presentó incapacidad de movimiento en miembros inferiores. Se procedió a realizar estudios de laboratorio empezando por descartar posible caso de covid 19, dando como resultado negativo y posteriormente gracias al anamnesis e historial clínico más una radiografía y la prueba de espirometria se dio como diagnóstico definitivo a una enfermedad obstructiva crónica. Se estableció un plan especializado de actividades de enfermería acorde a sus necesidades tomando como guía el modelo de Virginia Henderson y su meta de valoración según las 14 necesidades básicas de individuo para mejorar el bienestar y calidad de vida. | es_ES |
