dc.descriptionThe present research work deals with a 13-year-old female patient who presents a high congenital myopia, these conditions must be corrected, when the appropriate measures are not taken, they can trigger other conditions such as amblyopia. The objective is to determine the high congenital myopia in the patient and in order to identify the characteristics, the respective tests were carried out to measure her visual range, her visual acuity. The patient presented symptoms such as headache, redness of the eyes, difficulty focusing on objects. At the end of the respective studies, it is concluded that the patient suffers from progressive congenital myopia due to not taking the recommendations and renewing the lenses at the right time. Progressive congenital ametropia causes discomfort and difficulties in the daily life of those who suffer from it. It is necessary to implement corrective treatments that allow the patient to control the progression of the increase in measurements. This clinical case allowed to recognize the importance of an adequate prescription, and the correct follow-up. The patient presented a notable improvement in her quality of vision once the use of the lenses with new measures was implemented.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación trata sobre una paciente de 13 años de sexo femenino que presenta una miopía congénita elevada, estas afecciones deben ser corregidas, cuando no se toman las medidas adecuadas pueden desencadenar otras afecciones como la ambliopía. El objetivo es determinar la miopía congénita elevada en la paciente y para lograr identificar las características se realizó los respectivos exámenes para medir su alcance visual, su agudeza visual. La paciente presentaba síntomas como cefalea, enrojecimiento de los ojos, dificultad para enfocar objetos. Al finalizar los estudios respectivos se concluye que la paciente padece una miopía congénita progresiva por no tomar las recomendaciones y realizar la renovación de lentes al momento adecuado. La ametropía congénita progresiva causa malestar y dificultades en el diario vivir de quien la padece. Es necesario implementar tratamientos correctivos que permitan al paciente controlar la progresión del incremento de medidas. Este caso clínico permitió reconocer la importancia de una prescripción adecuada, y el correcto seguimiento. La paciente presento una notable mejoría en su calidad de visión una vez que se implementó el uso de los lentes con nuevas medidas.es_ES
