Acute appendicitis is a disease characterized by the obstruction of the pain lumen due to different causes such as: fecaliths, parasites, among others; it becomes inflamed and pathogenic microorganisms accumulate, to the point of creating an abscess and ending in one of the major complications such as peritonitis. At the national level, it leads statistically in morbidity, with men being the ones who most frequently present it; In a study conducted in 2017 at the Teofilo Davila Hospital in the city of Machala, a total of 47.9% appendectomies in phase I and II were presented; However, there are no current statistical data on studies on this disease. The objective of this study is to develop a nursing care plan applied to patients with acute appendicitis, using the NANDA, NOC, NIC taxonomy; based on one of the best known models in the history of nursing: the Eleven Functional Patterns of the author Marjory Gordon, in order to identify problems and prioritize them in patients. The methodology of this work is analytical and descriptive, through the collection of information from the best-known books, articles and scientific journals in the area of health. As a conclusion, it is obtained that the application of the nursing care process favors the improvement and restoration of health in patients with acute appendicitis, satisfying their needs.es_ES
