dc.descriptionThe present case study was carried out in the Terminal Terrestre, Transit and Road Safety Municipal Public Company of the Babahoyo Canton - TRANSVIAL EP, a public sector entity with financial autonomy, which was assigned the responsibility of land transport, traffic and road safety, ensuring strict compliance with the regulations that govern the correct actions of drivers, passengers and pedestrians in prudential action and respect for life, with the power to sanction non-compliance with the provisions, signs and protocols framed in the legality of the country . TRANSVIAL EP, also generates commercial space rental activities, income from vehicle registration processes, from the garage of retained vehicles, sale of TAGs. For the correct execution of tasks, investments are made in the contracting of services and goods that allow continuous operation by work areas. The importance of this work is framed in the analysis of procedures and application of information integration systems by areas of financial management, this in attention to the fact that several reports that continue to be managed in programs such as Excel, being susceptible to manipulation or alteration of the information between the areas of prior control, budget, accounting and treasury, which allows the interaction and revision of the items that are entered into the systems on a daily basis, and therefore the decisions adopted by the management are put at risk.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso se realizó en la Empresa Pública Municipal Terminal Terrestre, Tránsito y Seguridad Vial del Cantón Babahoyo – TRANSVIAL EP, entidad del sector público con autonomía financiera, a la que se atribuyó la competencia de transporte terrestre, tránsito y seguridad vial, velando por el estricto cumplimiento de las normativas que rigen el correcto accionar de conductores, pasajeros y peatones en el actuar prudencial y el respeto a la vida, con la potestad de sancionar el incumplimiento de las disposiciones, señales y protocolos enmarcados en la legalidad del país. TRANSVIAL EP, también genera actividades de alquiler de espacios comerciales, ingresos por procesos de matriculación vehicular, por garaje de vehículos retenidos, venta de TAGs. Para la correcta ejecución de labores, se invierte en la contratación de servicios y bienes que permitan la operatividad continua por áreas de trabajo. La importancia de este trabajo se enmarca en el análisis de procedimientos y aplicación de sistemas de integración de información por áreas de la dirección financiera, esto en atención a que varios reportes que continúan manejados en programas como Excel, siendo susceptibles a manipulación o alteración de la información entre las áreas de control previo, presupuesto, contabilidad y tesorería, que permita la interacción y revisión de los rubros que diariamente se ingresen los sistemas, y por ende se pone en riesgo las decisiones adoptadas por la parte gerencial.es_ES
