Salmonellosis is a zoonotic disease with enormous public health implications caused by the genus Salmonella, Enterobacteriaceae family with several serovars that can harm each of the species such as mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, it also harms people, the clinical signs they have the possibility of altering according to the infective dose, the strain, the serotype, and the affected animal species, the most common manifestation of the pathology is enteric, however, a fairly extensive spectrum of clinical signs can be seen that includes acute septicemia, abortion, arthritis, and respiratory pathology, a laboratory diagnosis is needed for its affirmation, the propagation occurs, mainly by the purchase and entry of new animals in the farm through feces, Transmission occurs by direct contact between animals by the ffecaloral route, the aerogen route, and through contaminated fomites (footwear, clothing, vehicles, outfits, etc.). Control is based on a complete approach from the farm to the table, that is, throughout the food chain, with each link (farm, industry, food inspection, food sales, and consumers) being fundamental in its prevention and control. eradication is based on the slaughter of affected and contact animals, prophylaxis should be based on the application of measures aimed at preventing the introduction of the disease.es_ES
