The cultivation of lettuce, in a world overpopulated by lands and soils with low nutrient quality and eroded due to their agricultural exploitation and the little awareness that there is of the care and management of soils, cultivating it hydroponically would result in a more convenient since it provides solvency in space and economy, this research work aims to evaluate the effect of abscisic and humic acid as inducers of resistance to salinity in lettuce in the Babahoyo area. All this was done in Babahoyo in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, through a field study in the greenhouse, a system of hydroponic beds was carried out, where 9 treatments were carried out with an electrical conductivity of 3.5 and 7.0 due to to high amounts of salt in the water, and applying 2 products, abcsicic acid and humic acid, the data of plant height, number of leaves, leaf size, root length, fresh and dry weight of the root, were evaluated. dry and fresh weight of the foliar part, all this will be evaluated by means of the tukley test in infostac, the results obtained from these data showed that the application of water with high percentages of salinity directly harms the development of the lettuce crop, It was demonstrated that abcsicic acid is the one that has the most favorable results in the face of high salinity levels in the water, although the use of phytohormones can help control the saline stress that the lettuce crop can present.es_ES
