Autohemotherapy is a simple and low-cost medical process which consists of blood extraction by venipuncture, followed by immediate intramuscular reinjection, with the aim of stimulating the animal's immune system. The objective of this study was to determine the behavior of platelets with the use of autohemotherapy by evaluating clinical parameters (complete blood count). 12 healthy animals (females) were used that were subjected to the autohemotherapy process divided into 2 groups of 6 bovines each group with their respective control, of which the first group was subjected to a treatment of 20 ml of autologous blood while the second group they were subjected to 15 ml of autologous blood. This procedure was performed 2 days a week for 5 weeks in order to evaluate the results obtained throughout the process. In week 1, which consists after 24 hours of application, we obtain the result that the control (0ml) obtained the best response in its average of 363.50 uL, while that of 15 ml was 318.60 uL and that of 20ml obtained a value of 225.20 uL. In week 2 (7 days) after performing the autohemotherapy, an alteration in the platelet series was evidenced in the 20 ml dose as a result of its average of 412.20 uL. In week 3 (14 days) in the 15ml dose, a higher average of 328.80 uL was obtained. In week 4 (21 days) there was an alteration with the 20ml dose with a corresponding mean of 372.00 uL. In week 5 (28 days) at the end of the autohemotherapy treatment with doses of 15ml and 20ml, the most relevant dose was 20ml with a mean of 469.20 uL. When analyzing each treatment with the bovines, it was found that there was no platelet alteration in the supposedly healthy animals, this means that autohemotherapy is not advisable in healthy bovines.es_ES
