| dc.description | This case study identifies the main problems related to the increasing frequency of violent incidents in the province of Los Ríos in 2022, due to the lack of resources to prevent and treat violence and abuse. The reasons why these events occur lie in justice, severe poverty, social exclusion, lack of economic and job opportunities, including a culture of violence and impunity in the province, are factors that contribute to the most violent events. The importance of the study for society arises from the scientific content generated through this research, with which it is possible to provide the press with valuable information. The intended impact is to inform the media about current journalistic practices and highlight the importance of news related to violence in the province so that the population is well informed about these events. | dc.description.abstract | Este estudio de caso identifica los principales problemas relacionados con la creciente frecuencia de incidentes violentos en la provincia de Los Ríos en 2022, debido a la falta de recursos para prevenir y tratar la violencia y el abuso. Las razones por las cuales se producen estos hechos radican en la justicia, la pobreza severa, la exclusión social, la falta de oportunidades económicas y laborales, incluida una cultura de violencia e impunidad en la provincia, son factores que contribuyen a los hechos más violentos la provincia de Los Ríos. La importancia del estudio para la sociedad surge de los contenidos científicos generados a través de esta investigación, con los cuales es posible brindar a la prensa información valiosa.
