dc.description.abstractLos periodistas trabajan bajo presión, debiendo entregar el material sobre los hechos de manera urgente, sin la posibilidad de procesar detenidamente lo que está sucediendo y sin considerar el impacto psicológico que dejan las coberturas en situaciones críticas: en esas coberturas no te sirve un chaleco antibalas y los protocolos de seguridad no te dicen qué hacer o cómo prevenir esas circunstancias del riesgo emocional. La presente investigación nace con un propósito y es evidenciar la falta de seguridad a los cientos de profesionales que se desenvuelven y laboran en diferentes ciudades del Ecuador Dado que los problemas sociales o económicos de una región en particular conducen a una sociedad represiva que busca expresar su malestar, los actos violentos contra periodistas son algo que ocurre en todo el mundo. En base a protestas y donde los comunicadores están en mayor riesgo.
