dc.descriptionThe present work was carried out with the objective of determining how digital culture has affected the form of written communication of the students of the Eighth Year of the Social Communication career of the Technical University of Babahoyo - Quevedo Extension. In view of the boom that technology has had within communication; Today's young people interact in a different way through social networks and instant messaging apps, which has resulted in the creation of a new code of written communication, unknown to many. This topic was chosen because it is considered to be an important step in favor of the written language, and against the customs that distort it. To carry out this study, the inductive method and techniques such as observation and surveys were used; the same ones that allowed to gather the necessary information for the respective analysis of the topic. The sample was made up of 76 university students, and through the results obtained, it was determined that there is a strong relationship between the modifications presented by today's written communication and the digital culture of the young people observed. What is concluded at the end of the investigation is that the modifications linked to digital culture; like the habit of using abbreviations within text messages; The use of emoticons, emojis, stickers and animated gifs within chats has affected the form of written communication.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo se efectuó con el objetivo de determinar como la cultura digital ha repercutido en la forma de comunicación escrita de los estudiantes del Octavo Año de la carrera de Comunicación Social de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo – Extensión Quevedo. En vista del auge que ha tenido la tecnología dentro de la comunicación; los jóvenes de hoy, interactúan de una forma diferente a través de las redes sociales y apps de mensajería instantánea, lo que ha resultado en que se cree un nuevo código de comunicación escrita, desconocido para muchos. Se eligió este tema, porque se considera que es un paso importante a favor de la lengua escrita, y en contra de las costumbres que la deforman. Para llevar a cabo este estudio, se utilizó el método inductivo y técnicas como la observación y las encuestas; las mismas que permitieron reunir la información necesaria para el respectivo análisis del tema. La muestra la conformaron 76 estudiantes universitarios, y a través de los resultados obtenidos, se determinó que existe una fuerte relación entre las modificaciones que presenta la comunicación escrita de hoy y la cultura digital de los jóvenes observados. Lo que se concluye al final de la investigación, es que las modificaciones vinculadas a la cultura digital; como el hábito de usar abreviaciones dentro de los mensajes de texto; el empleo de emoticones, emojis, stickers y gifs animados dentro de los chats, ha afectado la forma de comunicación escrita.es_ES
