dc.description | Digital media are means of communication different from the others, offering tools and characteristics that have achieved a unique and innovative relationship with users, therefore, this case study is linked to the line of investigation of the Communication career, in the field of information and communication technology in the network society. Ecuador was not far behind regarding the global phenomenon of the Internet, which was fertile ground for traditional media that were chosen to migrate to digital computing platforms. Since the arrival of the network of networks in this country in 1991 through Ecuanex, being one of the first companies that provided the first internet access, which offered them to obtain this service since no means of communication had access to this service , in the course of time the first experiences of communication media with Internet access appear. The interactive communication professional becomes a key player here, a specialist capable of understanding the potential of the digital medium and, at the same time, becoming a storyteller or, at least, a facilitator of stories. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | Los medios digitales son medios de comunicación diferente a los demás, ofrece herramientas y características que han alcanzado una relación única e innovadora con los usuarios, por lo cual, el presente estudio de caso está ligado a la línea de investigación de la carrera de Comunicación, en el campo de tecnología de la información y la comunicación en la sociedad red. Ecuador no se quedó atrás referente al fenómeno mundial de Internet, el cual fue un terreno fértil para los medios tradicionales que se escogieron por migrar a plataformas informáticas digitales. Desde la llegada de la red de redes a este país en 1991 a través de Ecuanex, siendo una de las primeras empresas que brindó el primer acceso de internet, la cual les ofreció obtener este servicio puesto que ningún medio de comunicación tenía acceso a este servicio, en el trascurso del tiempo aparecen las primeras experiencias de medios de comunicación con acceso a Internet. El profesional de la comunicación interactiva se convierte aquí una pieza clave, un especialista capaz de comprender las potencialidades del medio digital y, al mismo tiempo, convertirse en un relator o, al menos, facilitador de historias. | es_ES |
