dc.descriptionIn the pineapple growth process, the influence of climate on its production is crucial; given the importance of temperature (27 °C), precipitation (1,200 to 2000 mm), light and wind among the most important climatic factors; the same as on the Ecuadorian coast reach moderate levels, without major extremes, especially in terms of temperature, light and wind. The information obtained was carried out through the analysis, synthesis and summary technique. From the above details, it is determined that pineapple requires rainfall ranging between 1200 and 2000 mm with a good distribution throughout the year for optimal use. In pineapple cultivation, lower temperatures (<24 °C and higher temperatures (>30 °C) reduce the yield and quality of the fruit, representing a serious problem in areas where the different pineapple genetic materials are established. pineapple, intense luminosity significantly interferes with the processes of photosynthesis and transpiration, favoring the yield of the crop and the obtaining of attractive and higher quality fruits. dc.description.abstractEn el proceso de crecimiento de la piña, la influencia del clima en su producción es crucial; dada la importancia de la temperatura (27 °C), las precipitaciones (1.200 a 2000 mm), la luz y el viento entre los factores climáticos de mayor importancia; los mismos que en el Litoral ecuatoriano alcanzan niveles moderados, sin extremos mayores, especialmente en términos de temperatura, luz y viento. La información obtenida fue efectuada mediante la técnica de análisis, síntesis y resumen. Por lo anteriormente detallado se determinó que la piña requiere precipitaciones que oscilan entre 1200 y 2000 mm con una buena distribución durante todo el año para un aprovechamiento óptimo. En el cultivo de piña las temperaturas más bajas (<24 °C y más altas (>30 °C) reducen el rendimiento y calidad de la fruta, representando un serio problema en las zonas que se establecen los diferentes materiales genéticos de piña. En la piña la luminosidad intensa interfiere significativamente en los procesos de fotosíntesis y transpiración, favoreciendo el rendimiento del cultivo y la obtención de frutos atractivos y de mayor calidad. El cultivo de piña es poco resistente a vientos fuertes prolongados, su intensidad produce una mayor transpiración que lleva a la desecación, y sus hojas se dañan fácilmente, por donde pueden entrar patógenos, especialmente hongos El cultivo de piña tiene más éxito entre 100 y 800 metros sobre el nivel del mar, ya que la variación de temperatura a esta altitud se acerca al óptimo para el desarrollo de las plantas, que está entre 21 °C y 27 °C.es_ES
