dc.descriptionThe integrated management of Phytophthora capsici in the pepper crop Capsicum annum in Ecuador is of great importance, since the presence of this pathogen causes considerable damage to the pepper crop and, being an omycete fungus, it can be found in both warm and warm environments. as humid which affects the agricultural production of Ecuador. Proper management of ventilation and irrigation, avoiding waterlogging, especially at the time of sowing or transplanting, elimination of diseased plants, checking that irrigation water is free of pathogens, balanced nitrogen fertilization, solarization after the affected crop. among others, it favorably reduces the condition for the development of the pathogen. The use of Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Streptomyces and Trichoderma are excellent biocontrol agents for the present disease, directly controlling the population of Phytophthora capsica in the pepper crop. The use of Metalaxil plus Mancozeb was useful within Integrated Pest Management, since it helped reduce the risk of development of resistance by Phytophthora capsici to fungicides.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl manejo integrado de Phytophthora capsici en cultivos de pimiento ecuatoriano Capsicum annum es importante porque la presencia de este patógeno puede causar daños importantes a los cultivos de pimiento y como hongo micelial se puede encontrar en regiones cálidas y cálidas, un ambiente húmedo afecta la producción agrícola en el Ecuador. Una gestión adecuada de la ventilación y el riego para evitar el estancamiento del agua, especialmente durante la siembra o el trasplante, la eliminación de plantas enfermas, la prueba del agua de riego para detectar patógenos, el uso equilibrado de fertilizantes nitrogenados y el secado al sol de los cultivos dañados ayudarán a reducir la incidencia de enfermedades, condiciones para el desarrollo de patógenos. El uso de Bacillus, Pseudomonas, Streptomyces y Trichoderma son excelentes agentes de biocontrol para la presente enfermedad controlando directamente la población de P. capsici en el cultivo de pimiento. El uso de Metalaxil más Mancozeb resultaron útiles dentro del Manejo Integrado de plagas, dado que ayudar a reducir el riesgo de desarrollo de resistencia por parte de P. capsici a los fungicidas.es_ES
