| dc.description | Postpartum depression is currently a public health problem worldwide, primarily affecting primiparous mothers, who are more likely to discontinue breastfeeding. The primary objective being to analyze the influence of postpartum depression on breastfeeding in primiparous women treated at the Roberto Astudillo health center, it was carried out through an analytical methodological design study, quantitative modality, and a type of cross-sectional research. The study population consisted of 180 primiparous women and the technique of reviewing medical records was used, data collection through the Edinburgh scale that helped identify mothers with PPD, and a survey to determine the influence of PPD on the Breastfeeding. The results showed that 68% of primiparous mothers have postpartum depression, none of whom breastfeed exclusively and only 10% of mothers feed their baby on demand. Concluding that PPD has a negative influence on breastfeeding of primiparous women at the Roberto Astudillo health center. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La depresión postparto actualmente es un problema de salud pública a nivel mundial, que afecta primordialmente a las madres primíparas las mismas que son más propensas a interrumpir la lactancia materna. Siendo el objetivo primordial analizar la influencia de la depresión postparto en la lactancia materna en mujeres primíparas atendidas en el centro de salud Roberto Astudillo, se llevó a cabo mediante un estudio de diseño metodológico analítico, de modalidad cuantitativa, y un tipo de investigación transversal, la población de estudio estuvo constituida por 180 mujeres primíparas y se utilizó la técnica de revisión de historias clínicas, recolección de datos a través de la escala de Edimburgo que ayudó a identificar las madres con DPP y encuesta para conocer la influencia de la DPP sobre la lactancia materna. Como resultados se obtuvo que el 68% de las madres primíparas tienen depresión postparto de las cuales ninguna le da lactancia materna exclusiva y solo el 10% de las madres alimenta a su bebé a libre demanda. Concluyendo que la DPP tiene una influencia negativa sobre la lactancia materna de las mujeres primíparas del centro de salud Roberto Astudillo. | es_ES |
