Lumbar radiculopathy is characterized by irritation or pressure on a spinal nerve, generating pain, numbness and weakness that usually spreads to the lower extremities. It is a neurological condition that limits functions in activities of daily living such as walking, sitting, standing. Influencing its appearance are risk factors such as a sedentary lifestyle, excessive heavy loads and maintaining poor posture. In this research project, the influence of a physiotherapy intervention on lumbar radiculopathy in patients between 40 and 65 years old who attend the physical therapy area of the Martín Icaza General Hospital during the period November 2023 - April 2024 was described. For which a study was used. cross-sectional mixed type due to the conduct of an interview with professionals in the area of physical therapy and the survey of the study sample of 53 patients about the symptoms and intervention through the applied instrument of the questionnaire to subsequently analyze and quantify the data , through which it was obtained among the results that radicular pain decreases in 89% of patients, and positively influences them by 100%, reestablishing motor and sensory control, allowing recovery and independence in activities of daily living, reaching the conclusion that a physiotherapeutic intervention has a notable and positive impact on patients with lumbar radiculopathy, the main focus being to mitigate pain, followed by treating sensory manifestations, then restoring motor capacity to enhance physical skills, improving quality of life.es_ES
