dc.description	Introduction: Tuberculosis in a chronic infectious disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria that is usually located in the lungs, although it also affects other organs. This disease can be transmitted from one individual to another by sneezing, talking or coughing. (Ministry of Health of the Nation, 2009). Objective: To recognize how the role of nurses influences in preventing treatment attrition in patients with tuberculosis of The Vergeles Health Center, Milagro-Guayas, May-September 2019. Methodology: The deductive method and unstructured direct scientific observation were used, a population of 30 patients with tuberculosis was studied, a survey was applied to collect data. Results: It was obtained that 53.33% of patients with tuberculosis have moderate knowledge of the disease and the consequences if they decide to drop the tuberculosis treatment, and this is thanks to the talks given by the nursing staff. In addition, 43.33% of the studied population alludes to the fact that due to the time required for the cure of tuberculosis and the adverse effects caused by antifungal drugs, they have occasionally come to think of defeating the therapeutic regimen. Conclusion: The nursing staff working in the Health Center, satisfactorily fulfills the execution of the roles, activities and functions determined in the clinical practice guide of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control of tuberculosis of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador to be able to responsibly and effectively assist patients who attend The Vergeles Health Center.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Introducción: La tuberculosis en una enfermedad infectocontagiosa crónica provocada por la bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis que suele localizarse en los pulmones, aunque también llega afectar a otros órganos. Esta enfermedad puede transmitirse de un individuo a otro al estornudar, hablar o toser (Ministerio de Salud de la Nación, 2009). Objetivo: Reconocer de qué manera influye el rol del personal de enfermería para prevenir la deserción del tratamiento en pacientes con tuberculosis del Centro de Salud Los Vergeles, Milagro-Guayas, mayo-septiembre 2019. Metodología: Se utilizó el método deductivo y la observación científica directa no estructurada, se estudió una población de 30 pacientes con tuberculosis, se aplicó una encuesta para recolección de datos. Resultados: Se obtuvo que el 53,33% de los pacientes con tuberculosis poseen moderado conocimiento de la enfermedad y las consecuencias si deciden desertar el tratamiento antituberculoso, y esto es gracias a las charlas impartidas por el personal enfermería. Además 43,33% de la población estudiada alude que debido al tiempo que se requiere para la cura de la tuberculosis y los efectos adversos que provocan los medicamentos antifímicos han llegado en ocasiones a pensar en desertar el régimen terapéutico. Conclusión: El personal de enfermería que labora en el Centro de Salud, cumple satisfactoriamente con la ejecución de los roles, actividades y funciones determinadas en la guía práctica clínica de prevención, diagnóstico, tratamiento y control de la tuberculosis del Ministerio de Salud Pública del Ecuador para poder asistir responsable y eficazmente a los pacientes que acuden al Centro de Salud Los Vergeles.	es_ES
