dc.descriptionThe purpose of this case study is to analyze the network infrastructure (Red Lan) available in the computer room of the Federico González Suarez School of Basic Education, located in the Montalvo canton of the Los Ríos province, and thus determine its connectivity. Examining in the best way the network infrastructure determining if it is in excellent condition and if it meets the requirements required to maintain good internet connectivity when sending data. It should be noted that the support software for each of the computers in the institution's laboratory is Microsoft Windows 7, and the network topology used in the computer laboratory is the star type; It is also worth mentioning that he used the field methodology accompanied by techniques such as observation, which helped in an important way since it was possible to verify the failures that are occurring in that place and the interview, which was directed to the Lcda. Armida García Ponce, director of the school, in order to obtain more useful information, in addition, the Structured Cabling Standards were detailed, including the Ansi / Tia / EIA-568 standard, which tells us about the correct installation of the cabling, another important point was the use of the Colasoft Capsa software that was used to monitor the network, to obtain information about the traffic, the protocols it uses the most, and also about the possible shortcomings that may occur.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso de estudio tiene la finalidad de analizar la infraestructura de red (Red Lan) que dispone la sala de computación de la Escuela de Educación Básica Federico González Suarez, ubicada en el cantón Montalvo de la provincia de Los Ríos, y así determinar su conectividad. Examinando de la mejor manera la infraestructura de red determinando si esta se encuentra en excelentes condiciones y si cumple los requisitos requeridos para mantener una buena conectividad con el internet al momento de enviar los datos. Cabe destacar que el software de soporte de cada uno de los computadores existentes en el laboratorio de la institución es Microsoft Windows 7, además la topología de red que se usa en el laboratorio de computo es la de tipo estrella; también cabe mencionar que usó la metodología de campo acompañado de las técnicas como son la observación la cual ayudó de manera importante ya que se pudo verificar las fallas que se están ocurriendo en aquel lugar y la entrevista la cual fue dirigida a la Lcda. Armida García Ponce directora de la escuela para así obtener información de mayor utilidad, además se detallaron las Normas del cableado estructurado entre ellas la norma Ansi/Tia/EIA-568 la cual nos indica sobre la correcta instalación del cableado, otro punto importante fué el uso del software Colasoft Capsa que se utilizó para realizar el monitoreo hacia la red, para obtener información acerca del tráfico, protocolos que más usa y también acerca de las posibles falencias que pueda ocurrir.es_ES
