The present case study was developed on the basis that patients who present with chronic renal failure in many cases have failed to acquire good resilience, because of this they cannot conceive of rapid adaptation to a new medium or system in which they are being currently involved The case was taken into consideration when a 58-year-old patient arrived who had signs and symptoms of sadness, isolation, hermeticism, did not relate to anyone and lost interest in different activities. For the collection of information the medical history was used and to be able to reach a diagnosis the psychometric tests were used in this case the Beck depression questionnaire and the Wagnild and Young resilience scale were applied. Based on all the aforementioned, a therapeutic scheme with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy was proposed and, together with it, the application of the different techniques.es_ES
