This research project is aimed at determining the different factors that affect the abandonment of tuberculosis treatment, which according to the world health organization is divided into: environment, lifestyle, human biology and care service. This leads to the absence of a timely and effective therapeutic regimen, further complicating the situation of the patient, family and community which appears drug resistance and consequently the prevalence of tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is an infectious and contagious disease which a third of the world's population is infected and is a public health problem. Being the object of study of this research is to identify the factors that affect the abandonment of tuberculosis treatment and thus establish a proposal to improve comprehensive care for those affected in the Tuberculosis Control Program which improves the patient health. The study design is descriptive, bibliographic and field type which allow us to understand the study elements analyzing the current problem with real data of drug resistant patients of the health establishment through the analysis of the causes and effects that cause the abandonment of tuberculosis treatment. The population and sample that were studied were 12 cases of tuberculous patients among those who followed a strict therapeutic regime complying with the treatment and those who abandoned it because of the determinants of health. For the data obtained, a 5-question survey was conducted on patients with adherence and abandonment to tuberculosis treatment.es_ES
