dc.description | This experimental work was carried out on the grounds of the "Palmar" Experimental Farm, belonging to the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo. The objective was to evaluate the effects of the interaction of three doses of edaphic fertilization with extracts of seaweed on the performance of the rice crop. The test was carried out under an experimental design of divided plots, with 3 treatments (dose of soil fertilization), 5 sub-treatments (dose of algae extracts and control) and 3 repetitions. During the development of the trial, agronomic practices were carried out that required crop management. There was variability in the growth of the plants treated with Fertiestim and Seaweed Extract in the proposed doses on the untreated control. The results show that there was a greater number of tillers per square meter applying Fertiestim 1.0 L/ha plus the fertilization program 161-69-90-48 kg / ha (N-P-K-S). The variables days to flowering and harvest did not show statistical significance in the evaluations carried out and in none of the factors studied. Greater number of grains was found by applying 161-69-90-48 kg/ha (NPKS) plus Fertiestim 1.0 L/ha, being the treatment 161-69-90-48 kg/ha (NPKS) plus Fertiestim 1.0 L/ha who achieved the highest yield 6504,07 kg/ha. dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo experimental se realizó en los terrenos de la Granja Experimental “Palmar”, perteneciente a la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo. El objetivo fue evaluar los efectos de la interacción de tres dosis de fertilización edáfica con extractos de algas marinas sobre el rendimiento del cultivo de arroz. El ensayo se realizó bajo un diseño experimental de parcelas divididas, con 3 tratamientos (dosis de fertilización edáfica), 5 subtratamientos (dosis de extractos de algas y testigo) y 3 repeticiones. Durante el desarrollo del ensayo se realizaron las prácticas agronómicas que requirió el manejo de cultivo. Existió variabilidad en el crecimiento de las plantas tratadas con Fertiestim y Seaweed Extract en las dosis propuestas sobre el testigo no tratado. Los resultados muestran que se tuvo una mayor cantidad de macollos por metro cuadrado aplicando Fertiestim 1,0 L/ha más el programa de fertilización 161-69-90-48 kg/ha (N-P-K-S). Las variables días a la floración y cosecha no presentaron significancia estadística en las evaluaciones realizadas y en ninguno de los factores estudiados. Mayor número de granos se encontró aplicando 161-69-90-48 kg/ha (N-P-K-S) más Fertiestim 1,0 L/ha, siendo el tratamiento 161-69-90-48 kg/ha (N-P-K-S) más Fertiestim 1,0 L/ha quien logró el mayor rendimiento 6504,07 kg/ha.
