dc.descriptionThe following research work refers to a 50-year-old male patient with Obesity and Diabetes Mellitus II, who is referred to a nutritional consultation to control his weight and pathology. According to the anthropometric assessment, he refers to a body mass index of 40 kg / m2 which, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), is within the range of Type III Obesity with severe cardiovascular risk. In the research work (clinical case) the treatment and nutritional monitoring of the patient will be developed taking into account the anthropometric, biochemical, clinical and dietary indicators, in which a diet plan will be developed according to their caloric requirement, taking into account the tastes and diseases that the patient presents. The patient will be kept under constant surveillance by means of nutritional counseling, the patient will be guided which should be their adequate diet, in turn, make them take a favorable change in their eating habits so that their pathology can be managed correctly. The nutritional intervention carried out on the patient yielded positive results, managing to stabilize the patient, improving their physical condition, incorporating good eating habits, giving a noticeable change to their lifestyle, which was evidenced by the anthropometric data and laboratory tests carried out in the follow-up and monitoring of the patient.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl siguiente trabajo de investigación se refiere un paciente de sexo masculino de 50 años de edad con Obesidad y Diabetes Mellitus II, es derivado a consulta nutricional para el control de su peso y patología. Según la valoración antropométrica refiriere un índice de masa corporal de 40 kg/m2 que según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), se encuentra dentro del rango de Obesidad tipo III con riesgo cardiovascular severo. En el trabajo de investigación (caso clínico) se va a desarrollar el tratamiento y seguimiento nutricional al paciente tomando en cuenta los indicadores antropométricos, bioquímicos, clínicos y dietéticos, en el cual se va a desarrollar un plan de alimentación acorde a su requerimiento calórico, tomando en cuenta los gustos y las enfermedades que presenta el paciente. Se mantendrá en constante vigilancia al paciente por medio de consejerías nutricionales se guiará al paciente cual debe ser su alimentación adecuada, a su vez lograr que tome un cambio favorable en sus hábitos alimentarios para que así se pueda manejar de correcta manera su patología. La intervención nutricional realizada al paciente arrojo resultados positivos, logrando estabilizar al paciente, mejorando su condición física, incorporando buenos hábitos alimenticios, dándole un cambio notorio a su estilo de vida, lo cual fue evidenciado por los datos antropométricos y exámenes de laboratorio realizados en el seguimiento y monitoreo del paciente.es_ES
