dc.description | Dermoid Cysts are very rare benign lesions, but despite this, they constitute the most frequent tumor lesions in children. It is composed of the ectodermal elements (epithelium with keratin, hairs, sebaceous and sweat glands, nerves, smooth muscles and, less frequently, teeth) and mesodermal (fibrous tissue, fat, blood vessels and cartilage) combined in varying proportions. It usually occurs in the form of single, solid masses and can have a whitish, pinkish or yellowish appearance. They can be small and not very high, they are generally located inferotemporally, in the limbus or of greater dimensions occupying a large part of the interpalpebral region, but they can appear anywhere. Most are superficial and affect the outer half of the corneascleral stroma. They can vary in configuration and size, from 2-3mm to 12mm. Large lesions can be associated with a high degree of corneal astigmatism. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
