The present clinical case is based on a 62- year- old female patient treated through the Ministry of public health, who atended emergencies in a state of prostration, in a wheelchair, with difficulty staying upringht, loss of consciousness and remained in that state for up to 24 hours. She refers chills, enterorrhagia with diarrheal stools due to ileostomy with a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis. The nutritional assessment was carried out, his body mass index was found normal, in laboratory tests his results reflected anemia due to decreased red blood cells, mild depression in albumin, triglyceridemia, hiponatremia, hyperphosphatasemia, physical examination reveals generalized paleness, painful depressible adbomen with presence of wáter noises. Through nutritional counseling, nutritional recommendations are indicated to improve your life condition since you will always have to live with this pathology. Through follow – up and monitoring, a weight gain of 3 kg was verified, in his biochemical test such as albumin, hemoglobin, sodium, trglycerides, creatinine, there were changes, his energy requirement is: 1600 kcal/day, Proteins of 1 to 1.5 g/kg, Carbohydrates of 3 at 5 g /kg and Lipids 1g /kg.es_ES

dc.description.abstractHoy en día las enfermedades que afectan al colón se han convertido en algo común que si no se detecta a tiempo se puede convertir en una enfermedad crónica que si no se interviene adecuadamente puede provocar cáncer de colon. El presente caso clínico se basa en una paciente de sexo femenino de 62 años de edad atendida atravez del Ministerio de Salud Pública, la cual acude emergencias en estado de postración, en silla de rueda, con dificultad para mantenerse erguida, perdida del estado de conciencia y se mantuvo en ese estado hasta 24 horas. Se refiere escalofríos, enterorragia con deposiciones diarreicas por ileostomía con diagnóstico de colitis ulcerativa. Se realizó la valoración nutricional, su índice de masa corporal se encontró normal; en exámenes de laboratorio sus resultados reflejaron anemia por glóbulos rojos disminuidos, en albumina una depresión leve, trigliceridemia, hiponatremia, hipercreatinemia, hiperfosfatasemia; en examen físico revela palidez generalizada, abdomen depresible doloroso con presencia de ruidos hidroaereos. Mediante la consejería nutricional se indicó las recomendaciones nutricionales para mejor su condición de vida ya que tendrá que siempre vivir con dicha patología. Mediante el seguimiento y monitoreo se verifico un aumento de peso de 3 kg, en sus exámenes bioquímicos como albumina, hemoglobina, sodio, triglicéridos, creatinina, hubo cambios favorables, su requerimiento energético es: 1600 kcal/día, Proteínas de 1 a 1.5kg, carbohidratos de 3 a 5 g/kg y lípidos 1 g /kg.es_ES
