dc.description | This present clinical case is a 65-year-old male patient, who attends a routine medical appointment to continue in treatment of presenting a personal pathological history of a malignant prostate tumor diagnosed with 1 year of evolution, chemotherapy is performed 2 times a month he still has difficulty when starting to urinate, frequent urination, severe headaches, weakness and at the moment he is without any new symptoms, does not present surgical or family history and does not have any type of allergies. A nutritional intervention is carried out in order to improve the style and quality of life of the patient according to their pathology. In anthropometric evaluation we have a weight of 41kg and a height of 150 cm which reflects a nutritional status with a BMI of 18.2kg / m2 gives a mild malnutrition according to the WHO, in the arm circumference of 14.9 cm of 60% standard deviation according to FELANPE decreased muscle mass. Regarding the biochemical evaluation, albumin values of 2.74mg / dl are evidenced, which gives hypoalbuminemia, presents slightly low urea and creatinine. The patient is prescribed a 1600kcal diet, with a soft hyper protein and hyper caloric consistency, divided into 5 times of meals of moderate volume. In conclusion, the control of the therapeutic diet plan in the patient is maintained, since through the follow-up of the assessment, the diagnosis and intervention resulted in favorable changes in terms of their weight gain, nutritional status and pathological condition. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | Este presente caso clínico se trata de un paciente de sexo masculino de 65 años de edad, acude a cita médica rutinaria por seguir en tratamiento de presentar antecedentes patológicos personales de tumor maligno de próstata diagnosticada con 1 año de evolución, se realiza quimioterapias 2 veces al mes aún presenta dificultad al comenzar el orine, micción frecuente, dolores fuertes de cabeza, debilidad y al momento se encuentra sin ninguna sintomatología nueva, no presenta antecedentes quirúrgicos ni familiares y no tiene ningún tipo de alergias. Se le realiza una intervención nutricional con el objetivo de mejorar el estilo y calidad de vida del paciente de acuerdo a su patología. En evaluación antropométrica tenemos un peso de 41kg y una talla de 150 cm la cual nos refleja un estado nutricional con IMC DE 18.2kg/m2 da una desnutrición leve según la OMS, en la circunferencia braquial de 14,9 cm de 60% desviación estándar según FELANPE masa muscular disminuida. En cuanto a la evaluación bioquímica se evidencia valores de albumina de 2.74mg/dl la cual da una hipoalbuminemia, presenta urea y creatinina un poco baja. Se prescribe al paciente una dieta de 1600kcal, de consistencia blanda hiper proteico e hiper calórico, fraccionada en 5 tiempos de comida de volumen moderado. Como conclusión se mantiene el control del plan dieto terapéutico en el paciente, ya que a través del seguimiento de la valoración, el diagnostico e intervención dio como resultado de cambios favorables en cuanto a su ganancia de peso del estado nutricional y condición patológica. | es_ES |
