| dc.description.abstract | El asma es una enfermedad crónica respiratoria que ocasiona inflamación y estrechamiento de las vías respiratorias, caracterizada por una obstrucción variable y más o menos reversible del flujo aéreo, ocasionando episodios de opresión en el pecho, falta de aire, sibilancias, dificultad respiratoria y tos. El estudio ISAAC en Latinoamérica manifiestas prevalencias entre el 5 y el 20% en la población infantil.
